Kansas City, Missouri, Mission/Purpose of Job Partner with President and Board of Directors to ensure financial health of the business and achievement of long-term profitable growth plans.  Responsible for overall financial management of the company (both retail sales and financial services divisions), including financial strategies, financial planning & analysis, budgeting and reporting, functional accounting, cash management, capital expenditures, financial control systems, compliance, and risk management.  Strong role in overall company strategy formation, working closely with the President and the Board to develop and implement long-term growth plans.  Key member of the Executive Committee, visible leader to the overall company employee base, partner to commercial leaders in driving performance improvements, and functional center of excellence for branch-based Finance & Insurance Managers. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Leading and empowering a team of finance and accounting professionals to add significant value to the business through ownership and consistent delivery of the following key responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Collaborates with President, Board of Directors, and Executive Committee to develop and implement strategic plans, serving as functional lead for related investment plan and proforma financial statements. Financial Planning & Analysis: Creates, monitors and manages performance to budgets, financial plans, and formal estimates to deliver in-year and multi-year financial ambitions. Performs ad-hoc analyses to support business development process. Functional Accounting: Manages day-to-day functional accounting of the full business, including closing the books each month, quarter and fiscal year. Financial Reserves: Owns reserve methodology (in line with company policy and accounting standards) and ongoing execution to minimize future financial risk, with particular attention to retail financing loan portfolio and inventory valuation. Financial Reporting: Prepares formal financial reporting for own company and further consolidation with global parent company. Capital Expenditures: Owns CapEx budget and related process, aligning on quarterly basis with President and Board of Directors. Cash Management: Ensures cash flow is compatible with sustainable business and financial operations and meets expectations established by Board of Directors. Compliance and Risk Management: Identifies, assesses and controls business and related financial risks, including those related to company policies and external regulatory bodies. Business Control: Establishes, operates, monitors, and continuously improves system of business controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policy, and regulatory requirements. Performance Management: Leverages business analytics resources and partners with commercial leaders to support ongoing performance management of commercial functions. Finance & Insurance: Serves as functional center of excellence for Finance & Insurance operations, ensuring practices are compliant with company policy and regulatory requirements Legal: Serves as primary point of contact for external legal counsel. Delegates day-to-day customer service / warranty related issues to VP Operations. Insurance and Licensing: Ensures insurance, licensing and other key requirements for business operations continuity are fully compliant, up to date, and refreshed annually. Tax: Works with parent company tax resources to ensure compliance and optimization. Executive Committee: As a senior member of the Executive Committee, engages cross functionally to collectively advance company-level priorities.
