Fleet Experts Offering a Multitude of Analyses Regarding Total Cost of Ownership, Alternative Fuels, and More To ‘Help You Play Your Cards Right’ in Fleet Operations

FORT LAUDERDALE (September 6, 2023) – Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM) will be providing proven strategies for conquering food distribution challenges atbooth #913 at the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA)  Solutions Conference from September 11-13 in Fort Worth, TX. Attendees can stop by the booth to ace the fleet game with a winning hand by scheduling an appointmenthere.

During the conference, Fleet Advantage Experts will be offering a multitude of analyses regarding Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), alternative fuels, and more. Fleet Advantage is widely known as a trusted partner working to help food distribution companies overcome their existing challenges. Whether it’s new driver and truck shortages, procurement strategies, residual values or achieving Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals, Fleet Advantage helps food distributors identify and adopt new processes to ensure long-term success. This includes solving the significant industry challenge of HOW to efficiently progress toward a carbon-free future in a viable way.

Company executives will also discuss findings from their latest Truck Life Cycle Index (TLDI), calculating the cost savings associated with replacing older-model units with the latest truck equipment. The data shows that fleets can realize a first-year per-truck savings of $15,386 when upgrading from a 2019 model year daycab truck to a 2024 model. Across a fleet of 100 class-8 trucks, this equates to $1,538,600! This also represents a 12% decrease in emissions. Therefore, even though order slots are still limited today, distributors must get on the order board and start somewhere to secure new equipment. Their cost of inaction can quickly grow if the strategy is to wait until new equipment is readily available. At the show Fleet Advantage can provide a Fleet Modernization study to review these metrics and KPIs. This includes EVAN (Electric Vehicle Analytic Navigator), which compares diesel versus an electric Class-8 vehicle TCO, with modeling that evaluates fuel and mileage data versus kWh comparisons from the first year through a six-year life cycle.

Attendees can also receive a complimentary fleet audit from the company’s certified truck professionals and Fleet Services experts.

Since operating as an independent entity in January 2003, IFDA has been contributing to this clear mission of growth, development, and success in the foodservice distribution industry through its advocacy, events, research, and education. Fleet Advantage is in complete harmony regarding this mission and continues to be a strong example of working behind-the-scenes to help food distribution companies with their transportation fleets.

“It’s becoming increasingly important for food distributors not to gamble with their fleet and double down on cost-effective, safe, sustainable, and dependable fleet solutions,” said Brian Antonellis, CTP, Senior Vice President of Fleet Operations, for Fleet Advantage. “You can play your cards right with Fleet Advantage by learning from our Fleet Services team how we can help address organization-specific and industry-wide issues impacting operations today.”
