Summit Funding Group, Inc. is pleased to announce the expansion of their sales team, adding Roderick Ramirez and Steve Dean as Regional Sales Managers.
Ramirez is responsible for originating new business volume in the southwest region through the relationship with dealers, manufacturers, and end users in the Construction Equipment Finance Industry. Ramirez brings to the position a successful track record of over 20 years of experience that includes leadership positions and recognized sales achievements in the construction industry with ENGS, SMFL, CAT Financial, GE Capital, and CitiCapital. Ramirez specializes in forming strategic programs that add value to the dealer and customer relationship.
Ramirez earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He has been involved in numerous local Boards and leadership positions with Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso (President & VP), Ronald McDonald House Charities of El Paso, Progress 321 (Founding Board Member), El Paso Bridges Academy, UTEP Touchdown Club, the Associated Contractors of New Mexico, the Associated General Contractors-AGC of El Paso and the El Paso GOP Republican Party.
Ramirez lives in El Paso, TX and enjoys spending time with his family, working out and traveling.
Dean specializes in equipment leasing and finance contracts, and is responsible for relationship development within the Material Handling and Construction industries for Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota.
Dean brings immense experience to Summit, with a strong background in financial sales and equipment finance. He has been in the industry for almost 13 years, including time with US Bank and, most recently, at DLL where he served as an Account Executive in the Office Equipment division. Prior to that, Dean received accolades for most improved cost centers in 2013 and 2014 for NBH Bank, where served as a Group Manager for East Kansas City. Dean also previously served as a Senior Loan Officer for Veterans United Home Loans, specifically focused on helping first-time veteran homebuyers realize their dream of homeownership. In 2012, Dean graduated from the Leadership Development Program with US Bank, and managed a team that was one of the Midwest winners of the US Bank National Sales Contest in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Dean is a proud alumnus of Westminster College in Fulton, MO where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Marketing. Dean has previously been active as a member of the Veterans United Foundation, as a career mentor for Westminster students, as a Lifegroup leader for Ashland Baptist Church in Ashland, MO, and as a volunteer for various charitable organization including Harvester’s in Kansas City and ABC Food Pantry in Columbia, MO.
Dean lives in Ashland, MO and enjoys spending time with his wife Nikki and three young boys and being outdoors.
