Company to Showcase Latest Foodservice TRUST Safety Index Data & Insights; Plans to Unveil Major Announcement of New Program Offering

Fort Lauderdale, FL, September 23, 2025 - Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in specialty financing, fleet data analytics, fleet management services, and life cycle cost management, announced today it will be exhibiting at next week’s International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) Solutions Conference, from September 28 – October 1, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. Company executives will be available to discuss multi-year equipment procurement strategies for foodservice distributors, as well as showcasing their latest foodservice distribution-specific TRUST Safety Index data trends and insights. The conference is the premier event for the foodservice distribution industry, bringing together executives to discuss and discover the latest solutions for operational efficiency and supply chain challenges. As foodservice distributors and grocers face ongoing economic volatility—including rising inflation, elevated interest rates, and increased equipment costs—optimizing fleet operations has become more critical than ever. Fleet Advantage executives will be on-site to offer complimentary fleet audits and provide guidance on the importance of multi-year equipment planning to combat these unstable market conditions.

In addition, Fleet Advantage will showcase new, foodservice distribution industry-specific safety trend data from its proprietary Truck Reliability and Usage Safety Tracker (TRUST) Index. This data resource allows foodservice companies to benchmark their fleet's safety performance against industry averages and peer groups.

The second edition of the TRUST Safety Index reveals that the top 20 foodservice distribution private fleets are outperforming not only the industry average but also the top 20 private fleets across various other industries. The data shows exceptional performance in several key areas, including an average ISS score of 35.42 compared to 46.33 for other top private fleets. In critical categories like Unsafe Driving and Vehicle Maintenance, foodservice organizations maintain significantly lower scores, demonstrating their proactive commitment to safety and compliance. Furthermore, their total overall out-of-service inspection percentages are remarkably low at just 8%, a stark contrast to the national average of 19.47%, providing these organizations with significant operational, financial, and reputational benefits.

The data also pinpoints specific areas of focus for foodservice companies seeking to improve their safety metrics. For example, tire-related violations remain a major concern, accounting for 50% of all violations and a staggering 83% of out-of-service events. This highlights the critical need for robust tire management programs. Additionally, the index identifies dangerous driving as the cause of 75% of unsafe driving violations, underscoring the opportunity for companies to leverage technologies like Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and driver scorecard programs. The findings reinforce that a focus on key areas like tire maintenance and driver behavior can lead to substantial improvements in fleet safety and efficiency.

“Fleet safety and operational efficiency are both extremely critical for foodservice distributors, equally vital to a healthy bottom line,” said Katerina Jones, Chief Marketing Officer for Fleet Advantage. “High CSA scores and robust safety metrics not only reduce the risk of accidents and liability but also directly impact insurance premiums, regulatory compliance, and overall operational costs. Our dedicated team of industry experts are excited to show how the TRUST Index can help foodservice companies move from a reactive to a proactive approach to safety and compliance.”

Fleet Advantage executives will also unveil a major new announcement at the show, detailing a new dedicated offering unique to the industry that will help foodservice distributors and private fleets in other industries gain a significant competitive advantage with their operations, finance, and organizational business goals.
