St. Louis, MO, May 21, 2025 – CSI Remarketing Locação de Equipamentos LTDA. (“CSI Brazil”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSI Leasing, Inc. (“CSI”), recently announced the acquisition of Somov Rental LTDA., previously a subsidiary of Somov S.A. which is part of Sotreq Group. Sotreq is a privately-held company in Brazil focused on selling and renting equipment, specifically Caterpillar, Mak, Trimble, Perkins and SEM.
Based in São Paulo, Somov Rental specializes in renting forklifts, mostly manufactured by Hyster-Yale, and providing maintenance for the rented equipment. At the time of the acquisition, Somov’s fleet consisted of nearly 2,000 electric and combustion forklifts spread across 150 plants throughout Brazil. In addition to the headquarters facility, Somov Rental operates a 99,000 sq. ft. plant located in Araçariguama, 50 miles west of São Paulo. All of the company’s nearly 160 employees, many of whom are on-site technicians dedicated to maintaining each customer’s fleet of rented equipment, will now be part of the CSI group.
Jairo Perini will continue to manage the facility. He has been with Somov Rental for 21 years and brings both technical and sales management experience to the team.

The company is currently in the process of rebranding Somov Rental to InteliRent. This will be completed by the end of July.
