Santa Fe Springs, California, We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Credit Administrator to join our Credit team. The successful candidate will manage credit risk, credit limits, and complex reconciliations for assigned accounts, ensuring timely collections and supporting business growth through effective credit management. This role also serves as a backup for credit coverage within the department. Transfers and promotions are available to enhance employees’ career development, fostering a learning culture. Key Responsibilities:
Account monitoring and payment collection by maintaining direct customer contact, reviewing accounts receivable aging reports, resolving invoice disputes, and coordinating with Billing to minimize outstanding balances and ensure timely payments.
Conduct comprehensive credit analysis by collecting and evaluating financial data in compliance with company policies, continuously assessing creditworthiness, and preparing detailed credit performance reports for senior management reviews.
Collaborate closely with sales and customer service teams, as well as rebate customers, to address credit-related issues, support monthly rebate targets, and strengthen customer relationships within assigned territories.
Review over limit accounts, approve credit limits within authorized thresholds and evaluate requests for higher limits, providing recommendations for senior management approval.
Leverage advanced Excel capabilities—including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros, complex formulas, and data modeling—for comprehensive credit risk analysis.
Develop and maintain dashboards to effectively track account performance and credit risk exposure.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the credit function and overall business objectives.
Qualifications and Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with five (5) + years’ credit administration experience in distribution, wholesale, or manufacturing.
Proven experience approving credit limits and recommending higher limits to senior management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and perform credit risk assessments.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and macros.
Demonstrated sound judgment and consistent adherence to credit policies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage customer relationships professionally, including handling sensitive situations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Adaptability to changing work environments and competing demands.
Dependability and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across functional teams.
Experience with ERP or credit management software; Get Paid collection software experience is a plus.
