Latest Truck Life Cycle Data Index Shows First-Year Savings of $31,692 When Replacing 2016 Model Year Truck

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (June 10, 2021) – Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing, and life cycle cost management (LCCM) announced today it will be exhibiting at the National Private Truck Council’s (NPTC) Annual Conference and Exhibition (booth #422) on June 13-15 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company also announced today its latest Truck Life Cycle Data Index (TLDI) comparing all-in operating costs of older-model Class-8 trucks to 2022 model-year replacements.

Members from Fleet Advantage’s executive team are meeting with private fleet organizations at the conference, offering a complimentary fleet analysis to help fleets lower their Total Cost of Ownership. NPTC’s Annual Conference and Exhibition is the marquee national private truck fleet event of the year.

This year’s show is expected to illustrate the value private fleets have brought to America’s transportation system and supply chain, especially given how critically important private fleets were during the 2020 pandemic. According to Katerina Jones, VP of Marketing and Business Development, “Private fleets needed to adapt to rapidly changing market conditions while also ensuring their employees remained healthy and safe. Many of these fleet organizations worked with Fleet Advantage to scale their operations accordingly, and asset management strategies have played a crucial role in helping these organizations maximize efficiencies and lower operational costs.”

Fleet Advantage works with private fleet organizations on fleet analysis and modernization strategies to realize bottom-line cost benefits in replacing an older truck with a newer unit with clean-diesel technology. According to Fleet Advantage’s ATLAAS Unified (Advanced Truck Lifecycle Administrative Analytics Software), the most recent TLDI shows that fleet operators can realize a first-year per-truck savings of $31,692 when upgrading from a 2016 sleeper model-year truck to a 2022 model. For a fleet of 100 trucks, when upgrading to a 2022 MY savings can reach approximately $3.2 million

With the price of fuel and diesel continuously in the news, fleets are constantly looking for ways to lower their fuel expenditures through truck replacement. Fleets can save $9,456 per truck in fuel in the first year following replacement of a 2016 MY sleeper, a 16% increase in fuel economy and reduction of CO2 emissions.
