Crestmark Promotes Bob Leonard to Senior Vice President for Crestmark Equipment Finance

TROY, Mich., (October 12, 2018) — Crestmark is pleased to announce the promotion of Bob Leonard to senior vice president, managing director of indirect originations for the Crestmark Equipment Finance (CEF) division.

Leonard joined Crestmark in January 2017 as vice president, managing director of indirect originations, reporting to CEF’s President Tom Rutherford.

“Bob had an outstanding industry reputation prior to joining Crestmark,” said Rutherford. “And since joining, Bob and the syndication team have rapidly grown the indirect portfolio for CEF. He has been instrumental in quickly establishing our reputation as a first tier funding source within the industry. Geoff Peters, our first vice president, syndications, will now join forces with Bob; and will work to continue to grow originations and expand our syndications activities in 2019.”

“I’m glad to be a part of Crestmark, and have really enjoyed working with an outstanding team,” said Leonard. “We look forward to another busy year in 2019 and to continuing to support our partners.”

Before joining Crestmark, Leonard worked with Bank of Birmingham where he was executive vice president, and had responsibility for the equipment financing and private banking areas. His earlier roles include officer positions at Q10/iCap Capital, Michigan National Bank, and Ford Motor Credit Company.

Leonard received a B.B.A. in finance from Michigan State University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan – Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
