Rochester, NY, October 8, 2025—Alta co-CEO Jim Jackson and Director Patricia Voorhees will discuss trends they are seeing in the M&A market and in energy financing activity at the Equipment Leasing & Finance Association’s 64th annual convention Oct. 26-28 in Marco Island, Fla.
Jackson will participate in a panel discussion titled “M&A in Equipment Finance—Challenges, Opportunities, and What’s Ahead.” He and fellow panelists will preview the 2026 M&A climate and will explore various dynamics impacting this market, including tariffs, interest rates, and general economic trends.
As the leader of Alta’s M&A advisory practice, Jackson is a recognized expert on M&A within the equipment finance industry and writes an annual analysis of the market for Monitor magazine. He was recently featured in Equipment Leasing & Finance Magazine’s October article, “M&A Outlook Looking Up for Equipment Finance.” This panel discussion is complementary to that article.
The M&A panel discussion will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m.
Also at that time, Voorhees will discuss energy finance trends during a panel discussion titled “Energy Finance in the Age of AI—Emerging Opportunities for Equipment Finance.” The discussion will focus on how the enormous energy demands presented by the growth of artificial intelligence are impacting the need for equipment finance in the energy sector. Panelists also will look at how clean-energy financing has been impacted by growth in electricity demand and by decreased tax incentives for some renewable-energy equipment.
Voorhees has written extensively on the growth opportunity that clean-energy development presents to the equipment finance industry. She authored the Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation’s 2024 research report, “Climate Finance: A Massive Commercial Opportunity for Equipment Finance.” She was recently featured in Equipment Leasing & Finance Magazine’s October article, “The Winners Circle: Powering Growth Through Sustainability.”
Jackson and Voorhees will be available for meetings and discussions during the ELFA convention, as will Alta Director Ellen Comeaux, who also will be attending. To set up a time to meet with them, visit thealtagroup.com/contact.
