DLL Wins Two Leasing Life Awards - Vendor Finance Provider of the Year and Energy Transition Financing Program

Eindhoven, the Netherlands — November 18, 2024 — DLL, a global asset finance company for equipment and technology, received two awards at the 21stLeasing Life Conference and Awards event organized by the Arena International Events Group in Milan, Italy, on November 14. The Leasing Life awards were granted for: Vendor Finance Provider of the Year and Energy Transition Financing Program. The receipt of these awards from one of Europe’s top leasing industry journals, Leasing Life, represents DLL’s ongoing commitment to providing flexible finance solutions for partners and customers globally, as well as participating in creating a more sustainable world.

  • The Vendor Finance Provider of the Year Award recognizes a lessor who has partnered with a manufacturer to deliver bespoke asset finance at the point of sale. The judges considered evidence of strong and effective partnerships, OEM satisfaction, vendor endorsements, and a clear commitment to the specific business sector.  

DLL’s LifeTech vertical, inclusive of office equipment, technology, and healthcare products, has long-term partnerships with various Fortune 500 partners and customers. With its Information Technology (IT) partners, DLL aims to deliver the right IT solution to the right end-user customers, for the right payment through flexible and fully integrated software and technology financing programs. 

The awards jury cited: The winner provides tailored financing solutions for equipment across diverse industries, managing a €44 billion portfolio. Judges praised its extensive vendor partnerships, flexible financing, and presence in 25 countries. This year, it launched a global vendor agreement with a leading cybersecurity firm, reinforcing its commitment to strategic sectors. 

  • The Best Energy Transition Financing Program recognizes lessors who have supported the energy transition through financing innovative assets and solutions, such as renewables, EV chargers, and e-mobility. Judges looked for evidence of program success and uptake, as well as creative approaches to emerging markets.  

DLL’s Energy Transition services cover the full spectrum of the energy value chain. Via eMobility financing programs within the transportation industry, DLL worked closely with Inquieto Moving Attitude, a company that specializes in more sustainable solutions for the mobility industry and in which DLL has a 20% equity stake, to acquire electric vans for a Spanish company. This unique partnership enabled DLL to support a customer, while honouring its commitment to energy transition and reducing greenhouse gas intensity. 

The awards jury cited: The judges recognized this major player for its serious operational engagement in supporting the global transition to renewable and energy-efficient technologies. By establishing a dedicated global Energy Transition organization and developing a focused set of comprehensive and flexible financing solutions, it stands out in energy transition financing through industry collaborations and long-term commitments to clean energy projects, covering a wide range of energy-related assets.
