Mesquite, Texas (May 7) - VAR Technology Finance, one of the nation's leading independent providers of financial solutions in the IT channel announced today that Michael P. Gallo has been added as General Counsel, effective immediately. Gallo joins VAR Technology Finance from Xerox Corporation, where he most recently served as Senior Corporate Counsel. Gallo has more than 25 years of experience within the commercial equipment leasing and finance industry, with specialization in technology finance, and will report directly to Gary Sutton, President and CEO of VAR Technology Finance. Gallo is an active member of the Association for Governmental Leasing and Finance (AGLF) and the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association {ELFA), where he has served on the ELFA Legal Committee. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia.
Prior to his role at Xerox, Gallo was Operations Counsel with GE Capital with primary responsibility supporting the Xerox Capital Services joint venture. Gallo joined GE Capital in 2004, after serving as Vice President and Manager with CIT. He is originally from Baton Rouge and holds a J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law, and a M.S. in Real Estate Finance and B.S. in Finance from Louisiana State University, E.J. Ourso College of Business. Gallo is active in the community, serving as a Board Member with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, Cross Timbers Branch and serving as a pro bono volunteer with the Dallas Bar Association.
