Cohen, President & CEO, was awarded the President’s Cup at the April 8, 2016, Annual Luncheon Meeting of the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA). This award has been conferred annually since 1964, to those individuals who have demonstrated “Distinguished Service to the League.”

Mr. Cohen was honored to receive the award, saying in his acceptance speech, “I have great respect and admiration for the amazing past recipients; I know your friendship and guidance will continue to be inspirational and I will hold myself accountable to the high standards and responsibilities this recognition embodies -- I have a long road ahead to provide, what I hope to be, a lifetime of valued contributions.”
Mr. Cohen also paid tribute to his late business partner, Bob Caine, “a loyal friend and mentor, who through his wisdom, vision, devotion to our firm and love for the League … he encouraged me not only to become an active participant but to understand the dynamics, history and issues, but to be a positive and conciliatory voice and a leader by my values, activities and actions.” Mr. Cohen dedicated his award to Mr. Caine, who was awarded the honor in 2003. “I know that he is proud of his accomplishment in seeing that I have honored his legacy by carrying forth, to some extent, his lasting imprint on the League.”
Mr. Cohen also thanked 1982 award winner Frank Ulhman, who he said had been “an indelible role model” since they first met 20 years ago.
