Get Up-to-Speed on the MAC Protocol
In January a team from UNIDROIT visited ELFA headquarters to present a webinar briefing on the MAC Protocol. A recording is now available. The MAC Protocol is a treaty that provides an international legal framework for the financing of MAC (Mining, Agricultural, and Construction) equipment with the goal of increasing global investment and productivity in the mining, agriculture and construction sectors.

ELFA Comments on Green Energy Tax Credits
As reported in Tax Notes Magazine, ELFA recently commented on IRS regulations regarding the Investment Tax Credit under Section 48. The letter reads, in part: “Leasing transactions are an important mechanism for financing equipment under these provisions and this guidance is in the best interest of the Treasury Department, the Service and taxpayers to ensure smooth functioning of the code and for the envisioned levels of investment to be met.”
