Momentum is a powerful thing. But the real challenge is what you do with it: how you turn the progress you’ve made into a foundation for even greater success in the future.
That’s been an important focus for ELFA over the past year. As new technologies create new possibilities and businesses find new ways to invest and grow, we’ve been focused on ensuring our association—and our industry—are positioned to make the most of the opportunities ahead.
Of course, opportunity rarely comes without complexity. This issue’s cover story offers a timely example. Artificial intelligence is giving equipment finance companies increasingly sophisticated tools to combat fraud—even as technology changes the nature and sophistication of the fraud they face. As you’ll read, success requires more than technology alone. It also requires experience, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt as risks evolve.
That balance between opportunity and change extends well beyond AI. From tariffs and shifting public policy to new markets and financing opportunities, our members are navigating an environment that continues to evolve quickly.
That makes the timing of ELFA’s 65th Annual Convention especially fitting. Next month, we’ll gather in Palm Desert under the theme Building on Our Momentum—an opportunity to take stock of where our industry stands and, more importantly, look toward where we can go next.
Our focus is Invest, Empower, Expand: investing in the opportunities shaping our industry, empowering the people who will lead it forward, and expanding the impact of equipment finance across the broader economy. For 65 years, ELFA has brought this community together to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships, and prepare for what comes next.
I look forward to celebrating ELFA’s progress with you in Palm Desert as we continue to build on our momentum together.
