Wages may not be directly garnished except for child support or spousal credit under Section 28 of the state constitution. However, the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code does provide in Chapter 61 of Title 3 for attachments against assets including bank accounts and specified real property. Additionally, Chapter 63 of the same Title provides for garnishments in connection with unpaid debt.
