"Arbitration Act S.O. 1991, c. 17

This Act applies to an arbitration conducted under an arbitration agreement made before the day this Act comes into force, if the arbitration is commenced after that day. 1991, c. 17, s. 2 (2).

7 (1) If a party to an arbitration agreement commences a proceeding in respect of a matter to be submitted to arbitration under the agreement, the court in which the proceeding is commenced shall, on the motion of another party to the arbitration agreement, stay the proceeding.

37 An award binds the parties, unless it is set aside or varied under section 45 or 46 (appeal, setting aside award).
