"A party may recover possession of personal property wrongfully taken or detained by applying to the superior court, or concurrently to a district court where the value of the property is within the jurisdictional amount of a district court, for a writ of replevin. N.H. Rev. Stat. Ann § 536-A:1.

Plaintiff seeking to replevy personal property shall execute a complaint or application, under the rules of N.H. Rev. Stat. Ann § 536-A:2.

The court will not issue a writ of replevin until the plaintiff has executed a written undertaking secured by a proper assignment or conveyance of one or more securities, approved by the court, in an amount double the value of the property. . The securities may include bonds, letters of credit, security interests, or cash. N.H. Rev. Stat. Ann § 536-A:7"
