"Whoever provides engineering or land surveying services with respect to real estate, or contributes to the improvement of real estate, including contributing equipment, shall have a lien upon such improvement. Minn. Stat. §514.01 .
A person or entity with a debt secured by a perfected or unperfected security interest in seasonal use machinery that is subject to mediation who engages in mediation as a result of a debtor's default on a purchase money loan or contract, has a lien limited to the lesser of the total of principal and interest amounts required to bring the debt current until the stay of the creditor's enforcement action is lifted; the reasonable rental value of seasonal use machinery that is used for field operation during mediation until the stay of the creditor's enforcement action is lifted. Minn. Stat. §514.661.
Whoever, at the request of the owner or legal possessor of any personal property, stores or cares for the property, has a lien on the property for the price or value of storage, care, or contribution, and for certain legal charges, and the right to retain possession of the property until such lien is lawfully discharged. Even if the person claiming the lien no longer has possession of the property upon which the lien is claimed, the person entitled to the lien may preserve it upon giving notice of the lien at any time within 60 days after the surrender or loss of possession. The lien is valid against everyone except a good faith purchase or encumbrancer without notice prior to the filing of the lien statement and who has filed a statement of interest in the appropriate filing office. Minn. Stat. §514.18
A lient and right of detainer exists for all items listed in Minn. Stat. §514.19.
The owner of a self-service storage facility has a lien against the occupant on the personal property stored under a rental agreement in a storage space at the self-service storage facility or the proceeds of the property. Minn. Stat. §514.972
The UCC provides that a personal property lien on property actually in the lienor's possession has priority over a security interest in the good, unless a statute provides otherwise. Minn. Stat. §336.9-333."
