"A foreign corporation may not transact business in this State until the foreign corporation files an application for authority to transact business with the Secretary of State. (13-C MRS §1501)

A foreign corporation may apply for authority to transact business in this State by delivering an application to the Secretary of State for filing. (13-C MRS §1503)"
