Yes, Alaska’s version of UCC Revised Article 9 –Secured Transactions contains a few provisions that are variations from the uniform UCC Revised Article 9. This version can be found in Chapter 45.29 of the Alasks statutes.

There is a Central Filing Office in Anchorage, Alaska for the filing of UCC financing statements. Alaska has 35 recording districts for recording documents that are required to be filed in the real estate records. There are 12 office locations for the District Recorders, some of which serve several recording districts. The District Recorders’ Offices and the UCC Central Filing Office are maintained and regulated by the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources.
