Prior Authorization Form

Federal election law requires trade associations to seek and obtain “prior approval” from corporate members before soliciting contributions for a political action committee (PAC).

ELFA member companies may sign up for multiple years (so you won’t receive this notice every year!); however, corporations may only provide prior approval for PAC solicitations to one trade association per calendar year.  LeasePAC does not accept prior approvals from partnerships or LLC’s treated as partnerships for tax purposes.  With this prior approval LeasePAC, ELFA, or any individual working on behalf of LeasePAC can communicate about LeasePAC and request contributions from a member company’s restricted class, which is defined by the Federal Election Commission as a company’s executive and administrative personnel.
