ELFA Supports HR976 1071 Repeal
On April 1, 2025, the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) took a strong stand by submitting a letter in support of H.R. 976, the 1071 Repeal to Protect Small Business Lending Act. This critical legislation aims to eliminate the burdensome regulatory requirements of Section 1071, which threaten small business financing by increasing compliance costs, reducing credit access, and creating unnecessary privacy risks. This bill is scheduled to be marked up in the House Committee on Financial Services, April 2, 2025.
