Shaping What’s Next—Together

From Capitol Hill to Charlotte, our ELFA team has been on the move—connecting, listening, and building momentum for the future of equipment finance.

The team has crisscrossed the country to meet with members at a variety of different forums and meetings: from the Legal Forum in Charlotte and the National Funding Conference in Chicago to our annual Capitol Connections advocacy fly-in on Capitol Hill. Now, we’re already looking ahead to ELFA’s Annual Convention in October—which I’m incredibly excited about, and which you can read more about in this issue.

But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, I want to spotlight an event happening shortly after this issue is published.

On July 21-22, we’ll host the first-ever Power of People Summit in Baltimore. This brand-new event brings together all of ELFA’s Inclusion Committee forums into one powerful leadership and networking experience for equipment finance professionals of all backgrounds and career stages.

Whether you’re leading a team or just starting out, the Summit is designed to give you tools, insights, and connections to grow. I’ll be joining our Board Chair, James Cress, to unveil the next evolution of ELFA’s workforce initiatives—all built around a clear goal: attracting, training, and retaining the talent needed to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world.

That’s why we streamlined the Inclusion Committee last year, why we’re launching the Summit this summer, and why we’re excited to tell you more about the next step in the continuing progress of our workforce initiatives. Remember though: all of this is about more than just achieving workforce objectives—it’s about building the talent and infrastructure we need for the future of the equipment finance industry.

Our members are everything to us. I hope you felt that during our first-ever Member Appreciation Week in May. And, as we continue to grow the ELFA community (check out our cover story on private capital, our newest membership group), I hope you continue to feel that commitment each and every day.

Wherever we meet next—whether in Baltimore or beyond—we look forward to shaping what’s next, together.
