In early September, ELFA members hosted a visit in the Dallas area with Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-TX-24),
a member of the House Ways & Means Committee serving on the
Subcommittees on Oversight and Tax Policy. It was a productive meeting
where members discussed key tax provisions set to expire next year and
highlighted the critical need to address interest limitation
deductibility and bonus depreciation. These provisions are crucial for
helping businesses manage cash flow and drive equipment investments
through leasing and financing, which not only supports business growth
but also strengthens the U.S. economy. Special thanks to Kirk Phillips of Wintrust Commercial Finance for hosting the meeting, Jill McKean-Bilby of Huntington Equipment Finance for coordinating the event, and all the members who participated.
