Today’s lenders face two realities: borrowers’ needs are constantly evolving, while lenders must protect margins by scaling core services.

Lending-as-a-Service (LaaS) offers an alternative to the traditional build, buy, or partner paths—balancing product expansion with profitability. It removes the need for heavy upfront investment in new products that take years to deliver ROI.

Imagine co-designing a product, keeping control of credit, pricing, and brand, while an operator handles day-to-day execution as part of your team. This session explores when LaaS outperforms in-house builds, how to structure engagements for faster time-to-market, and how it can pave the way to eventual insourcing.

We’ll highlight a real-world example: a wholesale financing program that deepened vendor and OEM relationships, held headcount flat, and maintained tight risk controls. Attendees will walk away with a decision framework, implementation tips, and a view of the upside—faster product velocity, stronger partnerships, and better unit economics.

Change can feel like a road trip with no map, no seatbelts, and no snacks — bumpy, frustrating, and exhausting. Too often, leaders get so focused on plotting the course that they forget who’s actually in the car. In this playful yet practical session, Hilary Bilbrey unpacks three essentials leaders often overlook when navigating change — and shows why remembering your people is the most important part of the journey.

10:00 – 10:30 am

Whether or not you attended ELFA’s AI Web Seminar Series, this session is your chance to join the conversation. We’ll take some of the top questions from the webinars, dig deeper into the areas that generated the most curiosity and debate, and then open the floor to fresh questions from the audience. Recorded sessions are available on the ELFA website for anyone who’d like to dive in further.
