ELFA - Equipment Leasing and Finance Association - Equipping Business for Success

BCSC Election Information

ELFA's five Business Councils are an integral part of ELFA's operations, providing a critical link between the membership and the Board of Directors and staff. Whether Bank, Captive and Vendor Finance, Independent, Service Provider, or Small Ticket, the Business Council Steering Committees (BCSC) provide important input on the direction of the association and the needs of their particular constituency. As a volunteer-driven organization, ELFA relies on the input and involvement of the BCSCs and their members. We encourage your active participation in this process.

Member Requirements

Each BCSC member is elected to a two-year term and may serve up to two consecutive terms. BCSC members should expect a minimum of two in-person meetings and monthly conference calls. Find out the responsibilities, activities and schedule of events for members of the Business Council Steering Committees.

Positions

The following BCSCs have positions open for election in September:

  • Bank
  • Captive and Vendor Finance
  • Independent
  • Service Providers
  • Small Ticket

Nominations

Each year, ELFA accepts nominations from within its ranks for members of each Business Council Steering Committee. Nominations are being accepted through July 27, 2023. Employees of member companies in good standing may file a nomination for election to a BCSC, as long as they are members of that Business Council.

Balloting

Balloting takes place September 11-29, 2023, 5 pm EDT.

Eligibility

Only ELFA members are eligible to vote. Some member companies are in more than one Business Council so it is important that employees are assigned to and vote in the election for the specific Business Council that represents the business unit within the organization in which they are directly employed. A member employee may cast a ballot for only ONE Business Council. Member company employees who are not currently assigned to a Business Council must go to www.elfaonline.org, log in with their username and password, and update their record via Account Tools in the upper right corner of the site.
