Newark, NJ – Sills Cummis & Gross is pleased to announce the addition of Debbie Kramer Gregg to the Firm. Ms. Gregg joins the Sills Cummis & Gross Real Estate Department after serving as General Counsel for multi-state real estate developers for 25 years, which gives her a unique understanding of the business as well as legal issues inherent in real estate development.

Ms. Gregg has extensive experience in all aspects of development, including due diligence regarding approvals, environmental and title issues, acquisition of existing and undeveloped projects, securing entitlements and financing. She also focuses on commercial, residential and mixed use condominium development, including creation of shopping center and office building condominiums. Her experience includes registration of residential projects with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and representation of developers during transition from developer to homeowner control.

She also has substantial experience in commercial leasing, including drafting and negotiating shopping center, industrial and office leases on behalf of commercial clients. She represents clients in institutional and private equity financing, including acquisition, construction and permanent financing. She has also represented developers negotiating workouts for distressed projects and has served as a custodial receiver and asset manager for institutional lenders to preserve and create value for failed projects.

Ms. Gregg received her J.D., cum laude and Order of Coif, from the University of Michigan Law School and her B.A. from Pennsylvania State University. She is admitted to practice is New Jersey.
