TROY, Mich., (November 28, 2017) — Crestmark welcomes Janice (Jan) Ibey as regional first vice president and business development officer for the West Division.

Ibey joins the Los Angeles team to build value for small- and medium-sized businesses in the California market. As regional first vice president and business development officer for the West Division, she reports to Steve Hansen, first vice president and West Division sales manager. With more than 25 years of experience in financial services, structured finance and capital markets, Ibey joins Crestmark from LendSpark where she served as managing director for middle-market lending, providing customers with asset-based lending, equipment financing and subordinated debt.

Ibey co-founded and led three financial services and advisory firms in the past decade: Cinergy Commercial Capital, Fortes Financial, and Transcendence Advisors—all in California. She has been senior vice president at South Lake Mortgage Capital, AMRESCO Credit Corporation, and Mercury Savings and Loan. She also served on the executive committee of Finance America LLC, a Lehman Brothers company, where she was managing director of capital markets.

Ibey earned an applied bachelor’s degree in professional studies with an emphasis on housing and real estate from San Diego State University. She volunteers on the board of directors for Serna Academy, a new high school that provides sobriety and support programs for students in Orange County.

“Jan has the combined ability to build relationships with business owners, raise capital, and develop comprehensive initiatives to guide them to growth,” Hansen said. “She is a trusted and experienced advisor who can move businesses toward maximum profitability through a full spectrum of services. We are glad to have her join the Crestmark team.”
