Americorp Financial recently announced the promotion of Mark Johnson to Vice President of Sales and the hire of Darron Markwood as Vice President of Marketing.

In his management role, Johnson will be responsible for the strategic direction of the sales team, developing existing markets and identifying new vertical markets, recruiting new talent and daily contact with the sales team. Previously, Johnson served as a National Sales Manager and was responsible for developing new vendor relationships, creating marketing programs to target core vendors and working with the company management to identify new opportunities.

Markwood will be responsible for designing marketing materials to support sales staff and company growth, marketing the Americorp culture and brand, social media presence, vendor research and new business campaigns, and setting marketing strategy as part of the management team. Previously, Markwood served in leadership roles with AIP Marketing Alliance (AIPMA), TIP Capital and Bank of America where he was responsible for branding and communications efforts which involved building a strong national branding presence to promote products through SEO-friendly websites, moderating social media accounts and developing strategies to penetrate new market spaces. He also has served on the ELFA’s Communications Committee.
