The Captive and Vendor Finance Best Practices Roundtable is a small, highly-interactive half-day program designed to bring senior executives together for information sharing and critical thinking about the issues facing you each day as leaders of your organization. The roundtable will also provide an unparalleled networking opportunity.

The roundtable will be held from noon-4:30pm on Tuesday, April 10th, immediately preceding the National Funding Conference. It will begin with a joint luncheon with attendees of the Bank and Independent Best Practices Roundtables.

Andrew Blacklock

Andrew Blacklock is Director of Strategy & Business Operations of Cisco Systems Capital Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cisco Systems, Inc., where he is Chief of Staff to the President of Cisco Capital responsible for strategy, program management and business operations.  Cisco Capital is focused on delivering premier solutions in Technology Financing, Channel Financing, and Cisco Certified Pre-Owned Equipment. Cisco Capital has over $9 Billion in assets and provides technology financing in over 100 countries and channel financing in over 150 countries.
Prior to his current position, Andrew has held leadership roles within Structured Finance, Pricing, Portfolio Management, Credit Operations and most recently was responsible for financial product development.  In this role, Andrew was responsible developing financial products designed to support the acquisition of Cisco Solutions.
Andrew joined Cisco Capital from Lucent Technologies, Inc. in 1999. As Director, Customer Financing, he was responsible for structuring and negotiating financing structures for emerging wireline and wireless customers in the United States and Canada.  Before his role as Director, Customer Financing, Andrew held various roles within the treasury organization at Lucent Technologies and AT&T Network Systems finance organization.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Michigan State University and a Master of International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona.

Kara is the Sr. Marketing Manager for Flex Financial, the financial services arm of Stryker, a Fortune 500 medical device company. In this role, she is responsible for the creation of new programs, marketing communications, analytics, and events & training for North America and Europe. Her focus throughout her ten years at Stryker has been around customer & channel partner engagement, continual process improvement, and training & development.   An active member of ELFA, Kara is part of the Emerging Talent Advisory Council, serving as a liaison to the Membership Committee.   

Kara holds undergraduate degrees in philosophy and economics from Santa Clara University, attained her Master’s degree in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She sits on the Board of Directors for the Kalamazoo Junior Symphony Society and resides in Kalamazoo with her husband and son.

Getting There
The Swissôtel is a downtown hotel located in Illinois Center overlooking Lake Michigan, five minutes from I-55 and I-90/94. The hotel is within walking distance of the downtown business district and the Magnificent Mile. The Swissôtel is 18 miles, 30 minutes, from O'Hare International Airport. The Airport Express Shuttle bus is available every 30 minutes for $27 per person one way, and taxis are about $40. The hotel is 12 miles, 20 minutes, from Midway Airport; the airport bus runs every 30 minutes for $21 per person one way.
