Be part of the conversation!
ELFA member participation in the political process is critical to educate policymakers on the impact policy will have to the equipment finance sector. Capitol Connections is ELFA's premier participation event.
REGISTRATION PRIOR TO April 13 IS REQUIRED FOR ATTENDANCE
- Detailed briefings on the latest public policy issues
- Advocacy training for effective communications with policy makers
- Meetings with elected officials and legislative staff on Capitol Hill
- Meetings with key regulators at select federal agencies
Capitol Hill Meeting Assignments
ELFA creates individualized schedules with our target list of elected officials in the House and Senate for each attendee. Congressional offices are alerted to those scheduled to visit the office and expect to see those listed.
Registered attendees will be assigned meetings based on geography to the extent possible. If you have a relationship with a specific member of Congress, please contact Chelsea Neil (email@example.com) to discuss.
Attendees will be able to view their individual schedules by logging onto the ELFA Capitol Connections website after April 30. Do not plan travel based on the online schedule! Due to the nature of scheduling with congressional offices, attendees will receive a final listing of meeting assignments onsite at the meeting registration.
Attendees should plan to arrive by 11:30 am on May 16. Travel home should not be scheduled on May 17 until after 6:30 pm. If you have specific circumstances, please contact Chelsea Neil to discuss.
Each attendees' schedule is tailored to give the maximum impact for ELFA's advocacy efforts. Since each schedule is individualized, it is critical that any changes in attendance are communicated to Chelsea Neil prior to arrival.
To prepare you, webinars will be available on the issues to be discussed (April 25) and to prep you on what to expect at a Hill meeting (May 2).
Materials will be provided on the Capitol Connections website, as well as recordings of the webinars and a link to your individualized schedule with background on the congressional offices you will visit. Registered attendees will be given prior notice of policy updates and provided with printed materials when they pick up their registration materials on-site.
