Capitol Connections is a component of the ELFA Grassroots Program designed to present a united voice for public policy impacting the equipment leasing and finance industry.
ELFA member participation in the political process is critical if policymakers are to understand the nature, scope and public policy issues affecting the equipment finance sector.
Highlights of the 2008 program include:
- Detailed briefing on the latest public policy issues
- Meetings with elected officials and legislative staff on Capitol Hill
- Meetings with key regulators at select federal agencies
- Networking reception for attendees
Issue Briefings
Please visit the ELFA Online Advocacy Info Center for policy issues briefings and talking points. As the date for the conference approaches, ELFA will focus messaging on specific topics. Those issue briefs will be updated closer to the conference date to ensure a timely message.
Federal Agency Meeting Assignments
We are assembling a full program of Executive and Legislative Branch meetings to ensure maximum exposure of our industry to key policy makers while efficiently utilizing your time. Please review the list of possible executive branch agencies on the registration form to determine any that may be of particular interest. While we cannot guarantee everyone's first choice, your input is crucial to our planning efforts.
Capitol Hill Meeting Assignments
ELFA will be scheduling legislative meetings with our target list of elected officials in the House and Senate. Conference attendees will be assigned meetings based on geography to the extent possible.
