SME businesses in Illinois are more likely to repay their loans later than their Midwestern counterparts, but both have done better than the national average.

A study from Skokie-based PayNet Inc., which gathers data from more than 200 U.S. lenders about the commercial and industrial loans and leases they extend to businesses.
