Marketing Message Test Summary Report

In March 2004, ELA commissioned a study of chief financial officers in varying industries across the United States. The busy CFO audience - difficult to reach under the best circumstance - is an important audience for lessors. Twelve CFOs agreed to participate in the in-depth interviews and they freely shared their experience with leasing, how they describe leasing to their executives, and their general sense of when to use leasing as a financing method. The survey was conducted to help ELA better understand the messages and language that would best reach this key audience.

The Benefits Of Leasing -- Value And Market Perceptions

In May 2004, at the request of the Equipment Leasing Association, Global Insight developed a study to address the benefits of equipment leasing. Using survey methods, the study was directed towards understanding perceptions of the leasing experience, how equipment leasing compares with purchasing, and how the use of equipment leasing can be expanded in the market. Among the specific issues to address was the extent to which productivity improvements could be linked to equipment leasing.
