2012 Captive Best Practices Roundtable

9/19/2012
ELFA
Washington, DC

The Captive Best Practices Roundtable, sponsored by Genpact, is a highly-interactive one-day program designed by and for senior officers of ELFA member Captive Finance Companies to discuss strategic business issues they are facing, and to learn from one another how each is addressing these issues.

Highlights:
  • Lease Accounting Update (what do we know, what do we not know, when will we know more)?
  • Alignment (and potential conflict) of interests, priorities, goals versus Parent
  • Measurements: How are captive finance companies “measured” - by Parent, stakeholders, customers
  • Role of Captive in attracting new customers, improving market share, overall customer satisfaction
  • Trends in bundling – the impact on financial offerings and potential competitive advantage for Captives (vis-à-vis banks and independents)
  • Globalization of business and the impact on captive finance companies
  • Capital allocation and funding strategies for Captives
  • Cash as a competitor; customers’ alternatives for equipment acquisition

Who is Invited?
Approximately 60 members of the ELFA define themselves as Captive Finance Companies. This roundtable is only open to the CEO (or other senior officer) that has oversight of the entire business and direct involvement in relations with the “parent." Only one representative of an ELFA member Captive organization can participate at this event. Attendance may be limited to approximately 20 participants, to preserve an environment conducive to discussion and interaction.
